Whats the best way to get the most comps/highest rating from a Las Vegas Casino if you play craps with $600?

What are the things that work to your detriment?

Does it matter if you end your weekend with winnings or a loss?

If you only play conservatively/the pass line with odds, are you worth a free hotel nights to the casino?

What other tips are out there?

In order to get comps, you have to bet a minimum amount for a certain amount of time. On table games, comp points are given out based on your “theoretical” which the casino tracks by your average bet and your play time. Wins and Losses don’t really matter. Playing conservatively with low pass line/odds bets won’t get you comps very fast. In most casinos, the minimum bet to get any kind of comps is $25 per hand (assuming you’re playing cards).

Not sure about the comps, but to answer your question about other tips, this article should help some.

Craps gives you one of the best shots at making good on your money, provided you know which bets are the ones worth making and which ones to reconsider.

Craps is best played with patience. The Pass Line bet and the Place bet for 6 or 8 will stand you in good stead over the long haul. Because of the low house advantage, these are two of the best bets you’re likely to make.

Pass Line Bets: you win if the shooter rolls a 7 or an 11 on the first roll, or if the shooter establishes a point by rolling 4,5,6,8,9 or 10 and then rolls that same number again before rolling a 7.

Place bet on 6 or 8: you win if either a 6 or an 8 (depending on what number you’re betting on) is rolled before a 7.

    Betting Any 7

You’ll often find craps players betting on ‘Any 7′. The odds of Any 7 bets pay out at 4 to 1. The chances of you actually landing that bet are 5 to 1. Do the math and you’ll see that it’s just not worth it.

    Betting The Field

As tempting as it is to bet the field, because it gives you lots of numbers to win and the payouts can be fairly attractive, there are a few cautions. For starters, you lose money much faster on this bet, and for every 16 winning bets there will be 20 losing results. Numbers 6,7 and 8 come up most often and they won’t win you any money on this bet. Nor do 5 and 9 (the fourth most frequent results).

Betting On The Centre – Table Propositions

They can carry a casino advantage as high as 16%.

    Big 6 And Big 8

These bets pay only even money, despite the fact that they work much the same way as Place Win bets on 6 and 8. Go for the Place Bets instead – they pay 7/6 odds. To put it another way: the house edge on Place Bets for 6 and 8 is only 1.52%, while on Big 6 and Big 8 it’s 9.1%.

    Hardways

Beware the Hardways bet – they don’t call it hard for nothing. A Hardways bet on 4 or 10 has odds of 7 to 1 and a house edge of 11.11%. Hardways bets on 6 or 8 are 9 to 1 with a house edge of 9.09%. There are easier bets to make.

Heres the thing a few years ago I took a trip to Las Vegas loved it. Now I didn’t play craps and didn’t play any of the other games I stuck to two games I played 5.00 blackjack and .05 cent slots. Now before I get envolved in this let me just say I didn’t get my card till 3 days after arriving. The best thing to do is this remember (this was while i was there) as long as your gambling your drinks are free(just tip the waitress) thats comp 1, If you play lower amount games then your going to be there longer. Grant it you might not win that much but then again you might be like me and win over 800 dollars and get a comped meal at the buffet. Another tip for you is this don’t take all your money down to the casino at once your more likely to spend it. Keep some up in the room that way its more of an incovenience for you to keep going up to the room and then back down. Also and for added effect i’ll go all caps KEEP ALL CARDS IN THE ROOM. The only card on you should be the door key. Again it falls into you’ll be more likely to spend money if its in front of you then away from you. The last tip I have for you is this have fun set you a predertimend amount of money for a day if you win great if you lose don’t go over your amount if your there for 7 days and you’ve spent all your money in 3 days then you’ll be bored and hungry.

When you sit down at a table and give the dealer your card they will call the pit boss. The pit boss will record how much you buy in for and how much you bet. So if you wanted to buy in for $100 give the dealer $200 and don’t use $100 of it. Next when you are making you first few bets the pitt boss will likely be watching you to see how big you bet. Make your first bet or two big, after the pit boss leaves he will likely not pay much attention so you can drop your bet down to where you like. You get comped on your bet size and how long you play for. Do all your gambling at the place your staying.

When buying meals and things always charge to your room. You will not be reimbursed for cash you spend but you can get comped some or everything charged to your room.

My last two trips were totally comped and still have more “comp dollars” to stay for another trip.

Phone the front desk when getting close to check out time and ask to speak with a casino host they can tell you where you stand in comps. If you don’t ask they will not volunteer your comps when checking out so stay informed.
