People there dont know wthat that is and how to use it, so raising A J suited from anywhere is good move since nobody will reraise you or think “hey i have the position i’m gonna outplay this guy”. No this not gona happen at 1c/2c level.

What you said about jacks is good analysis. Most people will play them as a big pair no matter what and don’t let them go as much as they should i.e. they look prettier than they are.
