If any of us really had the answer to that would we be wasting time on YA? We’d all be in Vegas or Atlantic City – or perhaps we’d be running from the law but in a very nice car!

    2,3,4,5,6 are considered +1
7,8,9 are considered neutral or +0
    10,j,q,k,a are considered -1

when the count is high like 15 or so then that means all the high cards are still in the game, which means bet big.u need some quick math skills to keep track of all the cards being played by the other players and dealer. add quickly.
the casinos are betting this skilled by reshufle the deck after each and every hand played to discourage card counters. they casino can and will keep your ass in the back room after catching you. when questioned by the police they will just say you fell down the stairs. more than likly the cops are goning to believe a big business casino than a cheater.

Don’t believe everything you see in the movies.
In the old days a really smart person could get away with card counting. But now the casinos have wised up and with the multi-deck games and frequent shuffles it is almost impossible to gain an advantage by counting.

It is not illegal to count cards as long as you do it all in your head and have no electronic device. If the casino thinks you are counting they can ask you to leave and ban you from the casino.

Card counting is the process of assigning point values to cards and adding them as the cards are dealt, you then play your hands differently, and change your bets based on that information.

    http://www.qfit.com/blackjack.htm

That link has info, tools, and software layed out like a table of contents. Qfit.com is a website made solely for card counters.

Just to clarify, you will not get shot for counting cards, it is not illegal, you dont have to be a super genius, and you will not make millions unless you have millions to play with
