Dog days of gaming: Live racing dark for 6 months, poker room to extend hours, limits
Beginning June 1, kennels that would have run summer races at the Naples-Fort Myers Greyhound Track will race instead at Flagler Greyhound Track in Miami, to return in the late fall. The two-track circuit is an effort by the owner of both venues, Southwest Florida Enterprises, to put a spark in live racing, which has seen profits fall in recent years.
