I think so to an extent, depends on what faith you claim.
It would be like saying Im atheist, but I believe there might be a God.
People who say “I believe God made some parts of stuff but not everything.” are wrong By definition God would be in control of everything. Evolution does acknowledge a creator.
*****Luke Weiss********* a voice of reason, finally someone else wo knows the difference between Abiogenesis and evolution
the major difference is that both are operating from a different basis. People who accept evolution do so on the basis that science is correct. Creationists perform on the basis that science is wrong, and the bible is correct. So ultimately they can’t understand the opposing point of view.
No because if you think about it IF God made all this then he made evolution too. We know evolution exists as we see it in animals and plants all the time so if it exists then IF God made the world he made it too.
No, not unless you can prove either ideology. Since both are theories, why can’t there be a theory that combines both?
** Atheists who believe that they opinions are right and refuse to accept any other theory are just as ignorant as Christians who refuse to accept another opinion. Now bring on the thumbs down…
You mean like people who believe God created big bang and then we evolved? I’m going to have to say yes. I know sometimes I use that as an argument with atheists but I don’t believe that’s how it happened. I have to think most Christians are that way… You come to a point when talking to atheists where they run out of answers. I think that’s where that belief comes from.
Then I think its about time you choose to look back at how many times the bible was re formatted to fit scientific advancements and societal changes.
Its going to happen again, because change is essential for growth.
Besides, we will not be forever this form. We are evolving now, and a million years from now, we are not going to look the same if we don’t destroy each other, first.
Yeah, they don’t want to be right or wrong…Personally I know I didn’t come from a damn monkey!! God created man from the earth and then created woman from man’s rib……Thats the truth!!! Anyone care to argue with me?!?
I’m religious and study science as well. the people who are so vehement that the two contradict each other or even NEED to be reconcilled are usually those that have studied one and not the other. Do you think that a Sunday school education gives one the knowledge or authority to debunk creation?! and the same applies with a basic high school education in the sciences. Is that enough to say that science is wrong?
This is a huge topic that can’t be adressed properly here but there are a couple of great books written by Dr. Gerald Schroeder, an internationally respected physicist and a religious scholar, that discuss the issue in a friendly, and relatively easy to understand way.
Try “The Science of God” and “Genesis and the Big Bang”
Enjoy!
There are two sides to every arguement, sometimes even more. But, there is only one side that is actually truth, and that is the true that lines up with Gods Holy WOrd, His precious HOLY BIBLE. Anything that runs contrary to His word is false.
Hope that helps you. Thanks for asking.
No. That’s a rather short-sighted view point. Evolution is just one aspect of creation, like gravity. Anyone who has an average ability to reason must recognize that evolution is a fact. Creatures with the traits that best equip them to survive will prosper while those that are ill-equiped will not. Evolution is the obvious product of this process.
However, anyone who has ever been touched by ‘God’ has little choice but to accept the fact that the universe was created. So the obvious logical conclusion is that ‘God’ created evolution. Its really not that hard to see. I find it interesting that many atheists are still only willing to see the christian model of the universe. There are other options besides the Christian God and no God. We don’t all have to choose A or B.
actualy I couldnt disagree with you more
why are there so many people out there who think the two cant co exist

they believe what they believe. life is not black and white you know
No that just a silly analogy
No, I believe in both and as I’ve explained in other questions, I don’t see a conflict.
they are just coming around to the logic that their is no God
They are trying to justify something that the Bible got wrong. It’s just like what everyone did with the whole flat Earth problem.
the major difference is that both are operating from a different basis. People who accept evolution do so on the basis that science is correct. Creationists perform on the basis that science is wrong, and the bible is correct. So ultimately they can’t understand the opposing point of view.
quite the opposite sides of the coin, my friend
Nah I don’t think so.
Simply put, I don’t need evolution to justify a non-belief.
No because if you think about it IF God made all this then he made evolution too. We know evolution exists as we see it in animals and plants all the time so if it exists then IF God made the world he made it too.
Well, evolution is fact.
If you are intelligent and think that creation is a part of it you better find a way to reconcile the two.
bravo to elaeblue
maybe but you need a little faith

nope …. dont think so
for me anyway
both just happen to make sense for me and fit with my beliefs
Yes, but just like roulette, they lose every time.
evolution has NOTHING TO DO WITH CREATION
read about abiogenesis
ABIOGENESIS ISN’T EVOLUTION
EVOLUTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CREATION
No! I am a Christian that accepts evolution. MANY do. Why would that bother you?
I believe God is creation and evolution is what pre-Christians like to argue.
Cannot have both. Either believe God or Man.
