These Made Me Squee (Tezuka Moderno cell phone charms! Black Jack and Pinoko)

Yeah, I always knew there was a twenty-something fangirl within me, especially when it comes to my near-fanatical appreciation for anything related to Black Jack, and just about anything else created by Osamu Tezuka

Anyway… Dominic (DJ Sandman) gave me my long-overdue Christmas gifts Sunday night, and this was part of it. (Along with a better condition Banpresto Black Jack figure.)

These are the miniature versions of the Tezuka Moderno Labo series figures. (Of which I have Black Jack), co-branded with Coca-Cola, and conveniently sized for cell phone charms.

These cuties aren’t going on any cell phone, they’re going to be part of my nightstand Black Jack shrine. ^_^;

And yes… I did squee like a fangirl when I got them. I freaked out Dominic and Patrick. (yes, I’m happy I did. ^_^;)

I like Black Jack stuff – Deal with it. Hazama-sensei is my hero!

Volume 2 of the Viz English translation once again, my Black Jack bobblehead I picked up at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco a couple years ago, as well as a Kubrick figure of Konomi Kuwata ("The Black Queen", portrayed by Zephyrus (One of Tezuka’s "Star System" cast)), a well-work Black Jack cell phone charm, and my Organic Modern Labo SD Black Jack figure

Black Jack is Osamu Tezuka’s classic manga from the 1970s, about a brilliant, yet unlicensed surgeon, who charges exhorbitant fees for his services. He is seen as a shadowy figure, curing the rich and poor alike, and is seen as a rather cold and callous person, yet he has a complex personal code.

My dog Cosmo is a 4 year old Parson or JRT… He has long legs.
The woman I bought him from was a vet and told me he was a JRT.
He also has one black toenail. He is super sweet and really really smart. Im just confused about what to call him?
